Jilted Man Inflicts Injury On Lady’s Face During Squabble

A 30-year old jilted man, Kabul Jajudeen has vented his anger and frustration on a lady over rejection by attacking and inflicting injury on her face during a squabble between them in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Omoroga Street, close to pipeline area of Meiran in Alimosho Local government Area of Lagos where they resided.

The lady, Omowumi Omoroga was said to have shocked Jajudeen who took her for granted and made passes on her with the intention that she will accept easily. It was gathered that Omowumi rejected him outrightly, he was ashamed and targeted her for revenge.

On the day the incident took place, they had a disagreement and Jajudeen saw it as an opportunity to deal with her for what she did to him. He seriously attacked her, targeted and inflicted serious injuries on her face.

The victim was taken to a hospital where she was treated while the matter was reported to the police at Meiran Division. The police arrested Jajudeen and detained him at the police station. At the station, Jajudeen told the police that Omowumi insulted him but refused to disclose the details of what transpired between them until Omowumi opened up.

The police later charged him to court and he was brought before Ogba Magistrates for assault by inflicting injuries on Omowumis face.

He pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Jadesola Adeyemi-Ajayi granted Jajudeeen bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Mr. Akeem Raji did not object to his bail because it was a bailable offence.

However, Jajudeen was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 7 May, 2018.
