A jilted man, Kelechi Peter, has displayed his boxing prowess in Lagos on a lady, Uche Obidigbo, who reportedly ditched him as he reportedly knocked off her teeth during a public fight.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at White Sand area of Isheri Oshun in the outskirts of Lagos, where they reside.
It was gathered that Peter vented his anger on Uche, who he reportedly claimed gave him a public assault; he then attacked and knocked off her teeth.
The alleged assault was reported to the Police at Isheri Oshun Division and Peter was arrested.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and later charged him before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for assault which attracts years of imprisonment if he was tried and found him guilty before Court.
The Police alleged that Peter attacked Uche and inflicted injury on her mouth by removing her teeth.
It was gathered that Uche had slapped Peter and at the same time tongue lashed him, which he was unable to bear. He was said to have responded, inflicted injury on her in the process and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The action landed Peter in trouble after he was charged before the Court.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, then asked the Court to give date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he committed the alleged assault.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, granted Peter bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till 18th March, 2020.
