Jilted Trader Beats Single Lady To Death

Traders at Ladipo Market have been thrown into mourning after one of them attacked and beat a lady to death inside the market in Mushin, Lagos.

 P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the Promise Land Plaza complex section of Ladipo Market managed by one Engr. Charles.

The police were said to have started manhunt for the suspect known as Mr. Sunday but popularly known as Stone, who was said to be on the run after the incident.

The victim identified as Glory was said to have been brought recently to the market from her home state in Akwa Ibom. Mr. Sunday liked and approached her for love advances but she rejected his moves.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Mr. Sunday then became angry, started making trouble with the lady which led to assault on the victim and she suffered serious injuries on her body. She was rushed to a hospital where she eventually died and her corpse was deposited at an undisclosed hospital morgue.The incident was reported to the police but Sunday escaped and was said to be on the run.

When our correspondent visited the market to meet with the manager of Promise Land Plaza, the security men on duty told our reporter that Engr. Charles was not on around to speak on the matter.
However, sources at the market confirmed the incident which had thrown the traders into mourning since the incident happened. It was gathered that the traders had restrained themselves and were keeping sealed lips to avoid being arrested especially Mr. Sunday’s friends.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that efforts were being made to pacify the family of the deceased which entailed that Mr. Sunday might marry her corpse or perform certain rites before she will be buried. It was not certain what the management intended to do concerning the death as they have treated the incident of the assault at the management level before Gloria passed on.

Ladipo Market seemed to have become notorious for killing women. Just recently, another trader murdered his newly married wife and stuffed her corpse inside a bag to be deposited in a dump site before security men apprehended and handed him over to the police in Lagos.
