A jilted housewife Akarigbo Victoria has landed into another trouble after being sent away by her husband, returned to live with her parents and stabbed a female neighbour, Mrs Esther Favour with broken bottle after she was taunted over her failed marriage and its disgrace.
The incident happened at 6, Musa Close, Abule Odu, Idimu suburbs of Lagos where both the victim and suspect’s parents reside.
Victoria was arrested and charged before a Lagos court and was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Esther had a serious disagreement with her husband and she was sent away,
She returned to her parents house with her three children and since then, she has been living there lamenting.
While she was there, she had disagreement with Esther who reportedly taunted her and told her she was not a responsible wife, as that’s the reason her husband sent her packing from their matrimonial home.
This angered Victoria who reportedly took a broken bottle, stabbed her at the back with serious injury and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the police at Idimu division and Victoria was arrested and charged to court.
At the Isolo Magistrate’s court where she was arraigned, she pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 14 December 2016.
