In an exclusive chat with PM EXPRESS, Usman Chata, the coordinator of the John Utaka Foundation Football team expressed great optimism that the team will excel at the tournament as they were given adequate training and preparation, adding that there is no doubt that the young boys will be good ambassadors of Nigeria’s brand of football at the SATUC World Cup tournament.
“John Utaka Foundation Football team will not disappoint at the tournament. Although, the foundation is not interested in win at all cost mentality, a reason we insisted that the right set of players within the age bracket for the tournament were selected to represent the foundation. We are happy to expose the children to a different type of football, which thrives on skills and stamina,” Usman Chata said.
“The 5 – Aside football will develop the players in the areas of their shooting abilities, dribbling skills and endurance which is the stamina”, he added.
“The team will play Syria in the first game of the group before playing Morocco next and it is just a game of 15 minutes in each half and we hope that John Utaka Foundation Football team will excel at the tournament that will end on 16 August”, he said.
