With an impressive professional boxing record of 24 wins and2 loses in 26 fights, Dodzi Kemeh, who campaigns in the Superwelter weight category is upbeat of ruling his weight category in the world someday

The Nigerian professional boxer, who is based in Ghana, hinged his optimism on the level of his exposure when it comes to boxing and hard work. 30 year-old Kemeh said he remains undeterred despite having two loses on his boxing record as he has his sights set on becoming the undisputed champion in his weight category.

Arguably one of the best boxers in his weight category Kemeh, who hails from the Eastern part of Nigeria, said he is not afraid of any professional boxer in his weight category. He noted that gone are the days where professional boxers rely on their Managers to fix fights for them.

Speaking further, he said he and his team are not ready to cut corners in his quest to become world’s best in his weight cadre.

According to him, “I’m a professional pugilist and I have paid my dues, there is no going back on my dream of becoming a world champion, there is no professional boxer in my weight category that can withstand my jabs, hooks or punches I’m calling out any boxer in my weight category to come and challenge me.”

He disclosed that in all his 26 professional boxing bouts, none of his opponents gave him a good fight as they were all intimidated by his gait and boxing skills.

Having spent most of his time in the United States of America, USA, Kemeh rates professional boxing in Nigeria low. He, however, stressed the need for corporate bodies to come to the aid of professional boxing in Nigeria, which he claims is in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU.

In his words: “Professional boxing in Nigeria is in a comatose state, how can Nigerian boxers develop when there are no regular professional boxing promotions in the country? We need more sponsors as the dearth of boxing promotions is the bane of professional boxing in the country.”

He advised aspiring boxers to shun reliance on voodoo, use of illicit drugs and other social vices.
