Activities and preparations toward a successful staging the first-ever Capital City 10km Race Race, Ikeja 2024 are gradually gathering momentum with the runners who have registered for the 10km marathon event looking forward with excitement to the D-Day on Saturday 23 November.
While the race will kick off by 7am on Saturday at the Ikeja City Mall, the organisers have released the kilometer marking of the routes which end at the Police College in Ikeja.

Km 1: Opposite Micronova Pharmaceuticals on Billings Way
Km 2: Opposite Oje Imavan Street on Kudirat Abiola Way
Km 3: Immediately on entry to Opebi Link Bridge
Km 4: Opposite Opebi Glo Tower on Opebi Road
Km 5: Adjacent Allen Lane on Allen Avenue
Km 6: Allen Roundabout Junction
Km 7: Opposite GtBank on Adeniyi Jones
Km 8: Opposite AP Filling station on Oba Akran Avenue
Km 9: Opposite Samsung Authorised Service Center on Kodesoh Street
Km 10: Finish @ Police College Sports Secretariat/Gym.
“These routes are so marked out to give the runners an experience they will savour for a long time to come,” said the convener of the Capital City Race Ikeja 2024, Mr Dapo Ajayi at a media briefing held in Lagos on Wednesday.
“The Lagos State Government will deploy all logistics to ensure hitch free race on Saturday. As we all know that Ikeja is the hub of business activities in the state, we won’t want any distraction for the runners and not to inconvenient the citizens from going about their businesses.. There is inter-ministerial mobilisation for the competition,” the Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Lekan Fatodu said.
