A gubernatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State, Rukayat Ibrahim, says she is on a rescue mission and plans to promote unity and women development in the state if elected Governor in the November 16 poll.
Mrs. Ibrahim, a former women leader in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, said this at a press conference on Wednesday shortly after picking her Expression of Interest and Nomination forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
The female governorship aspirant bought the form at the sum of N11.25 million to participate in the primaries for the selection of the party’s flag bearer for Nov. 16 poll.
“I am on a rescue mission. Please join me in this race to save our state.”
“I’m contesting because I want to be the voice of women, unite all the tribes in the state and change it for the better” Ibrahim said.
She said that if given the opportunity to serve the state, she would strive to form an all-inclusive government in the state.
