Kurmi Community Writes PMB Open Petition Against Justice Galumje

Your Excellency Sir,

 

OUR HUMBLE PETITION AGAINST JUSTICE PAUL ADAMU GALUMJE.

 

We, the people of Kurmi community of Kurmi Chiefdom  in Taraba State, humbly write this petition against Justice Paul Adamu Galumje of  the Court  of Appeal, Sokoto Division.

We are strongly against the elevation of the said Justice Galumje to the Supreme Court as a Justice of the Apex Court.

Our Petition is predicated on the fact that the said Justice Paul Galumje has serially engaged himself in perverting the course of justice and as such he is not a fit and proper person to be elevated to the Apex Court, more so now that Your Excellency is engaged in purging the judiciary of the bad eggs that have been polluting the temple of Justice.

A particular case in point that will justify our characterisation of Justice Galumje is the clear perversion of justice in the Kurmi Chiefdom Chieftancy matter where he used his letter headed paper to write to the then Acting Governor of Taraba State to influence a matter before the High Court in Taraba.

Not only did he write to the Acting Governor, Justice Galumje went further to doctor many documents to ensure that the judgement of the High Court went to  his preferred Candidate. To further perpetuate his dubious scheme , Justice Paul Galumje influenced his appointment as Chairman of the King makers of the Kurmi Chiefdom. He orchestrated this despite the fact that he is a sitting Judicial officer.

Mr. President, this is a clear case of a high judicial officer perpetrating an illegality and benefiting from it. As a high ranking Judicial officer ,Justice Galumje knows or ought to know that his being the Chairman of the Kingmakers is illegal , nepotic and against the oath of office he took as a judicial officer. This despicable act of Justice Paul Adamu Galumje is one of several as we do not want to bore you with other catalogues  of shameful acts perpetrated by the said Justice.

We are however ready to tender further evidence to substantiate our assertion that Justice Galumje is not a fit and proper person to be entrusted with the honourable task of dispensing Justice without fear or favour at the Apex court.
