Lady, 21, Arrested For Stealing Phones At Computer Village

A 21-year old lady, Samuel Precious, has landed in trouble for allegedly stealing two phones inside a shop at Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, belonging to the owner, Henry Mgbehoma.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Samuel Precious, has been arrested and charged for the alleged stealing under the Criminal Law of the State.
According to the Police, the suspect, Precious went to the shop, Devices Global at Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos and stole two phones, iPhone 12 Pro max and Galaxy S23 valued at N1, 180.000.00 belonging to Henry Mgbehoma before she was caught.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the complainant.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Samuel Precious ‘f, on the 13th day of January 2026, at about 1430hrs at Devices Global, Computer Village, Ikeja Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did steal two phones, iPhone 12 Pro max and Galaxy S23 valued at N1, 180.000.00 (one million one hundred and eighty thousand Naira only), property of one Henry Mgbehoma ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions .
