A 21-year old lady, Wasilat Ogunleke, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly engaging her neighbour’s 6-year old girl in sex by penetrating her private part with her fingers.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Lajo Street, Ikorodu area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the neighbour’s daughter into an apartment, removed her pants and inserted her finger into her private part in order to satisfy her sexual desires. And having satisfied herself, she allowed her to go.
However, dastardly the act got exposed as the victim revealed what happened to her parents and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. The suspect was then arrested and detained for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and subsequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged sexual assault, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, moved a motion asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice because of the nature of the case.
However, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi granted her bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood, tax payment and addressed verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
