P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Latunde Close, Ago Okota area of Lagos, where they reside with a woman identified as Mrs. Ojukwu.

According to the Police at Ago Okota Division, Barbara on 8th August, 2021, was said to have attacked the victim by cutting her nose with a sharp object and she bled profusely.

She pleaded not guilty and told the Court that she has been paying the bills of the victim’s treatment since the incident happened and would want the matter to be settled amicably.

The prosecutor, Oje Uagbale, told the Court that the condition of the victim in the hospital is not yet certain to talk about settlement and the defendant should be granted bail to ascertain the stable condition of the victim, whose parents reside in the Eastern part of Nigeria.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Akokhia, granted Barbara bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and ordered her to be remanded in the Police custody pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
