Lady, 25, In Trouble For Allegedly Stealing Clothes, Bag At White House Command

A 25-year old lady, Joseph Damilola Elizabeth, has landed in trouble for allegedly stealing clothes, bag and Brazilian wig belonging to the owner, Bukola Akinola. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the the suspect, Elizabeth, has been arrested and charged for stealing under the Criminal Law of the State over her alleged conduct.

 

The incident happened 2nd August,2025, at Olaoluwa Close, White House Command, Meiran, Lagos.

 

The Police however, did not state how the suspect gained access to the complainant’s apartment to steal the items as alleged.

 

According to the Police, the suspect stole the items belonging to the complainant and when she tried to escape, she was apprehended by the residents before she was handed over to the Police at Meiran Division for interrogation over her conduct.

 

The Police found her culpable after interrogation as she was unable to deny it. She was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charge read:

“That you, JOSEPH DAMILOLA ELIZABETH ‘F’, on the 2nd day of August, 2025 at about 1600hrs at Olaoluwa Close, White House Command, Meiran, Lagos State, in the Ikeja Magisterial district, did steal lace cloths, Brazilian Wig, Bags and Cash sum of N156,000, all total value at N1,500,000(One Million Five Hundred Thousand),, property of Bukola Akinola ‘F’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

 

However, she pleaded not guilty.

 

The Prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted her bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
