A 29-year old lady, Precious Ibe, has landed in trouble after she allegedly stabbed a 26-year old man, Emmanuel Sunday, during a squabble over sex in a popular hotel In Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular De Heaven Hotel, located at 1st Avenue in FESTAC town, Lagos, where they had gone for sex romp, which eventually caused the death of the man, Sunday.
The Police did not disclose how the fight started but stated that the lady, Precious, used a knife to stab the late Sunday on his stomach. He was said to have bled profusely and then rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where he eventually died.
The corpse was taken to mortuary for autopsy report while the matter was reported to the Police and Precious was arrested. She later transferred to the SCID Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
After thorough investigation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for murder.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Olatunde Kehinde, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court over jurisdiction.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A A. Oshoniyi, ordered his remand in correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.
The matter was adjourned to a later date for the report of the DPP to be available.
The defendant may face murder charge if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence.
