A 33-year old lady, Ifunanya Oguguo, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly swindling a man, Chinonso Nwosu, to the tune of N7.5m under false pretence.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Onyeze Plaza at Alaba International Market, Ojo area of Lagos.
According to the Police,  the suspect, Ifunanya Ogugua, told the victim that she was traveling abroad and had contacts where she can buy Chevrolet Sports car and he paid her to buy two Chevrolet Sports cars for him.
However, trouble started after Ifunanya brought the cars and it was discovered that they were almost scraps because the vehicles were not able to start or move as result of faulty brain boxes and gear boxes.

The matter was reported to Ojo Police Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and consequently charged her before the Ojo Magistrate Court for the alleged conspiracy, stealing and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, LKJ. Layeni, granted her bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 21st August, 2024, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
