A lady, Imasuen Sandra, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly slapping a 60-year old man, Patrick Erhemiony and inflicting injury on his face during a public squabble.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 13th February, 2026, at the Mediation Center in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.

According to the Police, the lady and the complainant went to the Mediation Center over an undisclosed matter and had a disagreement, which led to exchange of words between them.

During the exchange of words, the lady reportedly grabbed the man, gave him dirty slap and inflicted injury on him.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ikotun Division and the lady was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

The charge read:

“That you, Imasuen Sandra ‘f, at Alimosho Mediation Center, Lagos, on the 13th of February, 2026, at about 1400hrs in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully assault One Patrick Erhemiony ‘m’, 60years old by giving him a slap and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 171(2), of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.”

She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Lucky Ihiehie, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
