A 34-year old lady, Sanni Adeola, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly printing 64 copies of National Identity Number (NIN) with her face but bearing different names and used them to get 64 mobile phones worth N11.9m from a company.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between March, 2024 and June, 2025, at M-KOPA Company L.S.D.P.C Shopping Complex, Agege area of Lagos.

According to the Police, the suspect printed the copies of the NIN and used it to purchase the phones from the campany for several months until the company discovered and handed her over to the Police at Pen Cinema Division for her alleged conduct.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and consequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

However, she pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, granted her bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
