Lady, 36, Bites Off Woman’s Finger During Public Brawl At Computer Village

A 36-year old lady,  ljeoma Okolie, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly biting off the finger of a woman, Nwachukwu Rosita, during a public brawl.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the Computer Village market in Ikeja area of Lagos.
According to the Police, the lady had a disagreement with the complainant over an undisclosed matter,, which led to exchange of words between them.
During the disagreement which led to a fight, the lady grabbed the complainant’s finger and bit it off. The victim was said to have bled profusely and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ogba. The lady was arrested and detained at the Area G Command for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the complainant.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found her culpable and consequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, ljeoma Okolie ‘f on the 9th day of July, 2025 at about 1230hrs at computer village, Ikeja, Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did intentionally and illegally grievously cut off the finger of one Nwachukwu Rosita ‘f with your teeth, which caused her permanent bodily deformity on her finger and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 245 of Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Phillip Ademigbuji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted her bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
