Lady, 37, Docked For Secretly Recording Woman With Phone To Expose Her

A 37-year old lady,  Ifeoma Samuel, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly secretly recording a woman with her phone in order to expose her before she was caught.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that she has been arrested and charged for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.
The incident happened 5th June, 2024, at computer village, Ikeja area of Lagos, where she allegedly saw the complainant, Lynda Nwokorie and started recording her.
The motive behind her plan to record the lady was not disclosed by the Police to know if she actually wanted to blackmail the complainant before she was caught.
According to the Police, the suspect saw the complainant at the place and started recording her. And while she was doing so, the complainant saw her and asked to know why she was recording her with her phone camera but she did not give satisfactory responses.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division and she was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable for recording the victim in an attempt to expose her to an undisclosed person and consequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing as she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted her bail with two sureties in like sum who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
