A man, Emmanuel Adeyinka, had a nasty experience in Lagos State and is now recuperating from injuries he sustained after he engaged a 38-year old lady,  Chidinma Glory, in a public squabble and he was beaten mercilessly during the fight over an undisclosed matter.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Glory Land Estate, Idimu area of Lagos State, where they reside.
Following the assault on the victim, Adeyinka, during the fight,  the Police have arrested the suspect, Glory and subsequently charged her before the Court for the alleged assault.
The Police alleged that apart from physically assaulting the victim, she reportedly used an iron rod and smashed his window.
The man was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment and the matter was reported to the Police at Idimu Division. The suspect, Glory, was then arrested and detained at the Police Station for interrogation over her conduct.
During interrogation, Glory was asked to know why she would assault Adeyinka in such manner. She stated that he started the quarrel and when she could not bear it any longer, she defended herself by beating him.
The Police found her culpable and then charged her before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Dosumu, granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
The matter was adjourned but she was remanded in custody pending when she will perfect her bail conditions while Adeyinka was said to be undergoing treatment over the alleged assault on him.
