A young lady, Miss Joy Onenu, has been arrested after he was caught on CCTV at a popular Super Market stealing body lotion in order to enhance her beauty.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular Westgate Life Care Limited located at Apostolic Church Close, Olowora area of Isheri Oshun, Lagos.
It was gathered that the suspect, Joy, went to the Super Market, pretended to be buying some items and stole Glow Halfcast body lotion worth N10,000 belonging to Westgate Life Care Limited.
She was caught on CCTV and handed over to the Police at Isheri Division, who recovered the item as exhibit and detained her for interrogation.
At the Station, she reportedly confessed and told the Police that she had not taken the item from the store before she was caught. The Management insisted that she should be prosecuted for the alleged offence to serve as deterrent to others who might try such in the Super Market.
She was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for stealing and she reportedly pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Dada Waisu, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Dosumu, granted her bail.
But she was remanded in the Correctional Centre pending when she will perfect her bail conditions before she can be released from custody.
The matter was adjourned till 11th November, 2020, as new date due to Covid-19.
