A delegation from the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development was in Lagos State for the past three days to inspect facilities the state is presenting in its bid to host the National Youth Games later in the year.
The federal delegation was led by the Director, Grassroots Sports Development in the Ministry, Dr. Adewale Are and were taking round sports facilities across the state by the Management Team of the Lagos State Sports Commission led by the Executive Chairman, Mr. Sola Aiyepeku and the Director General, Mr. Oluwatoyin Gafaar.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that it was a three-day working session for the delegation which were impressed with state of the sports facilities in Lagos. Lagos can host competition anytime any day thanks robust investments in sports by the successive governments in the state since it hosted Eko 2012 National Sports Festival and the managerial acumen of the present management of the sports commission which ensures prompt maintenance, improvement and cares for the facilities
