Concerned bus drivers plying Lagos metropolis have appealed to their colleagues and residents of Lagos of voting age to troop out in their numbers and vote for the  Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his second term in the coming Governorship elections on 11 March, 2023 to enable him complete the good work he started four years  ago.

The driver said they are soliciting for support for Sanwo-Olu’s second term because of his sterling performances in his first term, especially the zeal with which he battled COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020 and ensured Lagosians stay alive.

They also pointed out the massive infrastructural developments in education, roads and railway construction, the smooth operations of BRT buses which had brought relief to commuters in Lagos and the provision of maximum security for Lagosians to enable them continue to transact business without fear and more importantly sleep with their two eyes closed every night which had marked Lagos State out as the most safest State in Nigeria.

The drivers also praised the irrepressible National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for winning the keenly contested Presidential elections despite all odds.

They added that they absolutely believed that with Tinubu as the President of Nigeria, all the problems bedeviling Nigeria as a Nation would soon be a thing of the past.
Speaking on behalf of the drivers, Mr John Omena appealed to all the drivers plying Lagos roads and other tribes living in Lagos to troop out en masse with their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs and vote for Gov. Sanwo-Olu for second term on Saturday to enable Lagosians continue to enjoy the seamless dividends of democracy and good Governance they had been enjoying  in Lagos State.
The drivers added that Gov. Sanwo-Olu deserved a second term because he had done wonderfully well in the past four years.
Omena stated: “Before we drivers decided to declare our support for Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s  re-election, we took so many things into consideration especially the humane policies of the Lagos State Government toward the residents and non tribes. We observed that it is only in Lagos State that non-tribes can be  a Councilor, LASTMA Chief Executive Officer, Special Adviser and Special Assistant to the Governor.
“We also took into consideration the humane manner with which the current detriabilised LASTMA General Manager, Mr Bolaji Oreagba and the LASTMA Provost Department are rescuing drivers arrested illegally by its personnel to get justice  as they always refund extorted money  back to the arrested driver after thorough investigation revealed that the arrested drivers did not commit any offence to warrant their arrest and the lofty policy has endeared many drivers to the Gov.Sanwo-Olu’s Government and that is why we are appealing to drivers operating in Lagos State and Lagosians to troop out on the Governorship elections day and vote for Sanwo-Olu for second term to enable Lagosians and drivers continue to enjoy  good Governance and the LASTMA humane policy, Omena appealed.
