Crowned Football Academy on Tuesday afternoon have booked a place in the next round of the Lagos State Challenge Cup which kicked off at the maracana stadium, Ajegunle.
In the results released by the organisers, Crowned Academy dazed Fut Pro 5-1, while Future Pro also defeated R2 Finesse 5-3 to reach the next round.
In other matches played on Tuesday, Saints lost 0-1 to ECAS as Ghetto Tigers hammered Fearless FC 4-0 to advance to the next stage.
Action continues on Wednesday as Mighty Bay face Utility Sport by 9am at the FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium, Surulere.
Speaking ahead of today’s clash, president of Utility Sport, Abiodun Lawal said his team are ready for their opponents boasting that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment to him and entire management.
“We don’t know much about our opponents and i believe that they are good side.My boys and coaches know the importance of the game and they are ready to give their best.We just came back from training tour at Ijebu-Ode so the boys are in the good frame of mind to face their opponents in today’s clash,”he said.
