Leader of Alimosho Football Coaches Council, Ifeanyichukwu Ikpo Moses has denied rumours milling around that he would soon step down when the elections of Lagos State Football Coaches Association is getting closer.
Ikpo Moses is one of the candidates contesting for the chairmanship seat in the forthcoming Lagos State Football Coaches Association. The much awaited election would hold later in the year.
In a chat with our correspondent recently, Ikpo Moses said he still very much in the race and he is not ready to step down for any candidate.
“Let me use this medium to tell my noble coaches that I am still much in the race and I am still campaigning to realize my ambition. I am not and I would not ready to step down for anybody because I have what it takes to become the next chairman of our great association. I don’t know who is carrying such rumour that I would step down when the election is drawing nearer,” he said.
The light skinned Alimosho council leader said the Lagos football coaches elections should not be a do- or die affair for all candidates, but urged members of electoral committee to conduct a free and fair election.
“My prayer is that the electoral committee should conduct free and fair elections to avoid crisis. A lot of coaches are coming out for various positions and it is left for the electoral committee to give all the candidates a level playground,” he said.
