The Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) on Friday sent forth its retired officers who retired meritoriously at attaining 60 years of age or 35 years in public service.

Speaking at the occasion of the Y2022/2023 send-forth ceremony organised for the retirees at SUBEB Multi-Purpose Hall, Maryland, Ikeja, the Director of Private Education and Special Programmes, OEQA, Mrs. Bambi Falayi quoting the words of Davis Macron, said “Retirement is an inevitable phase in the life of every worker”, and that at some point we all must retire as it is with everything in life.

She appreciated the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for creating an enabling environment for education to thrive in the State.

Falayi applauded the retirees for their invaluable contributions to the education sector, just as she appreciated the zeal, passion and energy they brought to bear which were highly commendable.

She also used the occasion to encourage them to mix their retirement life with hobbies and vocations that can help them remain active in order to maintain good health and sound mind.

Falayi, therefore, prayed that the Lord would guide them well in their journey of life and bless them with sound health, prosperity and service to God and humanity.

The Director of Administration and Human Resource, OEQA, Mrs. Mojisola Bamgbose, in her vote of thanks, expressed her appreciation to God for the success of the event as well as the State Government.

She equally thanked the management and staff of OEQA for their moral support and also appreciated the retirees and their family members for the success of the programme.

The retirees on their part expressed their appreciation to the State Government through OEQA for celebrating them in a grand style.
