Auditors in the Lagos State Public Service have been urged to work towards self-development through learning, hard work and being conversant with the latest development in their profession.
The Chairman, Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Mr. Waliu Onibon, gave the advice during the 2019 Promotion Briefing organised for Auditors at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo, noting that yardsticks for measuring the performance of auditors during the promotion exercise will include innovation and hard work.
Onibon encouraged participants at the briefing to be well prepared and put in all their efforts during their upcoming training exercise slated for March 14, 2019.
Similarly, the Permanent Secretary Audit Service Commission, Mrs. Adebimpe Dada implored the Auditors to exhibit their commitment during the training programme as everything taught will be useful during the actual promotion exercise.
On her part, the Lagos State Auditor-General, Mrs. Helen Deile, advised the participants to read wide from Audit to Accounting and even some relevant chapters of the Public Service Rules and Financial Regulations in preparation for the promotion process.
