In a significant move to enhance the functionality and impact of youth centers across Lagos State, the Ministry of Youth and Social Development has inaugurated Management Committees for several key centers.

The initiative aims to ensure the centers are maintained at high standards, providing a safe and conducive environment for the development of young people.

The committees, comprising residents, Community Development Associations (CDAs), and community youth representatives, have been established to oversee the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the centers. This collaborative approach ensures that the centers are managed efficiently and continue to serve as vital hubs for youth engagement and development.

The Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, stated that the initiative aligns with the Governor’s administrative agenda, which emphasizes youth welfare and social inclusion. By fostering a nurturing environment for the youth, the government seeks to build a more equitable society and provide young people with the opportunities they need to thrive.

In a ceremony held at the conference room of the ministry, the chairmen who will lead the management of the youth centers across the state were inaugurated. The appointed chairmen are as follows:

Gbagada Youth Center – Dr. Madewa Adebajo
