It was Benjamin Franklin who said, “Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing”. It is interesting that while many are growing old without grasping the import of Franklin’s message, a 12-year old Nigerian girl is already living the message.
The young enterprising mind, Ebubechukwu Stephanie Ugodim, is not just flowing with what Benjamin Franklin posited, but is set to unveil not just a book but three new books.
Born to Mr. Pius Ikechukwu and Sylverline Chika Okpaladim from Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Ebube began at a very tender age to display love for books and writing and the parents seeing her passion, encouraged her literary interest.
The new books, which Ebube will unveil in the coming weeks, are ‘Alexandra The Sickler,’ The Broken Home’ and ‘Refugee’.
Ebube, born on 9th February, 2009, in Calabar, Cross River State, is presently a student of Beacon Light School, Abule-Ado, Lagos. She started off from St. Bernard Catholic School, Calabar and later moved over to Sacred Heart School, Ojo Cantonment, Lagos. From there, she had been to Lin Davis School before getting admitted to Lagos State Government School, Kanko.
Coming out with three books at the age of 12, literary icons like Chimamanda Adichie are already having legs to wear their shoes.
