The Executives and members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos chapter have felicitated with the newly promoted Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Adegoke Fayoade.
AIG Fayoade, who has been the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, was one of the posting directives of 12 AIGs by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
Following his new promotion, AIG Adegoke Fayoade will now be heading the affairs of Zone 2 Police Command (comprising Lagos and Ogun States respectively.
Chairman SWAN Lagos, Olatutu Oladunni, expressed her happiness over the appointment, describing AIG Fayoade as a unique police officer whose promotion and new posting were not a surprise but well-deserved.
Oladunni, also a member of the diplomatic team at the Pan-African American Chamber of Commerce, hailed the significant role AIG Adegoke has played in diplomacy, health, sports and culture.
She said, “AIG Adegoke Fayoade has been an incredible officer. Having been a major partner in the unveiling of Diplomacy Security Sports initiative in collaboration with reputable foreigners in business in Nigeria which Lagos SWAN began specifically with the Indian business moguls in the country.
“In a joint effort, he played a remarkable role which has given the initiative another productive recognition.”
