The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), in collaboration with the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) and the State Taskforce, yesterday continued with its follow-up of the Governor’s directives with the re-sealing of 12 buildings hitherto sealed and the removal of two illegal fences in Banana Island.
The General Manager of LASBCA, Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, who led the exercise, said the affected structures were sealed for various contraventions ranging from building without Planning Permit Approval, failure to obtain Authorisation to Commence Construction from LASBCA and Break of Government Seal amongst others.
He stated that the ongoing removal and sealing of the buildings in Banana Island and other parts of the State is geared towards compelling compliance on the part of the building public to ensure that sanity is restored to the built sector.
