The Commissioner, who was accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, Folashade Coker, also used the opportunity to present letters for the launch of the academy as well as the nomination of a family member to the Board of the Academy.
Alhaja Jakande, in her response, expressed her appreciation to the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the recognition and honour and prayed that the goal of the Academy would be achieved.
Two of Alhaja Jakande’s children, Mr. Deji Jakande and Dr. (Mrs.) Lanre Adeboye, who joined their mother to receive the team, equally expressed appreciation to Mr. Governor and indicated their willingness to work with the officials of the State Government for the launch of the Academy which coincides with the anniversary of Lateef Jakande’s death.
Others on the entourage were Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Human Capital Development, Miss Toyin Atanda; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Budget and Development Planning, Ms Aisha Agbaje and Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mr. Dele Balogun.
