Exciting games are currently ongoing at the 2022 Legacy Volleyball Championship which began in Lagos at the weekend.
In some of the results, Lekki Cruisers showed power against Nile University by winning 3-0 (25-17,27-25,25-23), while Logistics knocked Olalomi 3-0 (25-21,25-16,25-8) and Ajase-Ipo fell 3-0 (24-26,18-25,19-25) to Kwara.
In the female matches, Legacy edged past Voltrom 3-0 (25-10,25-9,25-15) before Elite walloped Strike Force 3-0 (25-19,25-9,25-15).
All the matches were played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, volleyball court, Surulere, Lagos.
Captain of Elite Volleyball Club, Comfort Amaonwu said the team were upbeat of going far in the tournament, as Saturday’s game was their first match, adding that they would improve in their subsequent games.
“We’re going back to our trainings and correct all the mistakes made in the open match,” Amaonwu said.
Participating teams will continue their run in the campaign at the National Stadium, Indoor Sports Hall, Surulere, Lagos.
