Light Up Ogun: Senator Adeola Yayi Facilitates 102 Transformers For 435 CDAS

In a concerted move pursuant of the Renewed Hope Agenda on Infrastructure of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District, has facilitated the donation and energization of 102 electric transformers for 435 Community Development Areas (CDAs) spread across all senatorial districts of Ogun State.

 

The transformers of different specifications according to requirement of each benefitting localities includes 500kva/33, 500kva/11, 300kva/33 and 300kva/11 were presented to representatives of communities on the side of the celebration of Senator Adeola’s 56th birthday at Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Ilaro in Yewa South LGA.

 

A total of 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Ogun State benefitted from this scheme of “Light Up Ogun State” namely; Yewa North, Ado Odo Ota, Yewa South, Abeokuta North, Ifo, Obafemi Owode, Ewekoro, and Sagamu. Others are Ijebu Ode, Odogbolu, Ipokia, Ijebu North East, Ikenne, Ijebu East, Remo North, Abeokuta South and Ijebu North.

Explaining the motivation for the facilitation of these needed energy infrastructure, Senator Adeola stated that his office was inundated with many requests for transformers following his periodic donation of transformers to communities over the years adding that it is a thing of joy for him to bring light to various homes and businesses through the provision of transformers and their energization.

Related to the provision of transformers in the “Light Up Ogun State” is the provision and installation of solar power street lights along streets, markets, communities and palaces with over 16500 poles installed so far across Ogun West senatorial district and beyond.

“Let me state clearly that this facilitation is an ongoing process as there are still many more communities in darkness as a result of damage or inadequate energy infrastructure. I will continue to address these challenges that are already compiled in my office” he stated.

Supporters of the Senator celebrated his birthday across three venues of Ilaro, Abeokuta and Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State and in Abuja.
