Local Government Election: Movements To Be Restricted In Anambra State On Saturday

The Anambra State Government has announced that there will be restriction of movements across the state as a result of the Local Government Election On Saturday. 

 

The Honourable Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, PhD said, “Ndi Anambra are with this informed that there is a movement restriction throughout Anambra State on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 8 am to 4 pm as the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) requested”.

 

“The restriction order is to ensure a peaceful and seamless exercise during the Anambra State Local Government Council Election, except for those on election duties and essential services such as ANSIEC officials, electoral observers, accredited Journalists, ambulances responding to medical emergencies, firefighters, etc.”

 

“Full compliance is strongly advised to avoid the wrath of the law. Thanks for your anticipated maximum cooperation.”
