A man, Okonji James and his mistress, Blessing Daniel have landed in trouble after they reportedly went to a military barrack and hired soldiers who brutalized their neighbour, Mayor Ishola.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 1, Lemon Street in Jakande Estate, Ejigbo Lagos where both the complainant and the suspects reside.
The suspects have since been arrested and charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court where they were ordered to be remanded them in prison custody.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that they had disagreement which their neighbour which they couldn’t resolve.
During the exchange of words, it was reported that James placed a call and some unknown soldiers came to their house, grabbed Ishola and battered him.
Thereafter, the men left and Ishola was taken to the hospital where he was treated as a result of the injury he sustained.
The matter was reported to the police at Ejigbo division and James and his mistress, Blessing were arrested and taken to the Station.
At the police station, the suspects were asked to provide the soldiers that attacked the victim, but they said they do not know where they reside and only contacted them through phone.
They were charged before the court for the alleged offence and they pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety each.
They were remanded in prison pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 19 July 2017.
