Man, 20, In Police Net Over S*x With Girl, 9

A 20-year old man, Ayo Adenupebi, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he allegedly lured a 9-year old girl and engaged her in sex.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police detectives from Akodo have arrested him and detained for interogation over the dastardly act.

The suspect, Ayo, who lives at Ise town, Akodo community in Lagos State reportedly defiled the 9-year old victim, who lives on the same street with him.

This was disclosed by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, at the Lagos State Command.
He stated that the incident was reported after the victim’s elder sister noticed blood stains on her (victim) thigh at about 1900hrs of 1st October, 2021. 
CSP Ajisebutu said when asked what happened,  the victim alleged that the suspect sexually assaulted her and warned her against telling anyone including her parents. 

Following the report made at the Akodo Police Division by the victim’s father, detectives immediately arrested the suspect.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but pleaded for leniency.

The suspect may spend several years in prison if the Police charges him before the Court and he is found guilty for the alleged offence.

However, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has directed that the suspect should be transferred to the Gender Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution. Meanwhile, the victim has been taken to the hospital for medical treatment. 

The CP, who condemned this criminal act, admonishes parents and guardians to keep eyes on their wards particularly the female children to avoid being sexually violated by shameless and irresponsible men preying on innocent female victims in the neighbourhood.
