A 23-year old man, Tamidayo Oshin, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he bought drinks worth N535,000 which he drank with his friends in a popular hotel but was unable to pay the bill.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Oshin, has been arrested.
The incident happened on 14th January, 2022, at Stalad Hotel located at Progress College Road, Abule Egba area of Lagos.
Oshin was said to have gone to the hotel with his friends on the said day and bought the drinks with the expectation that he will receive a certain amount of money online to pay the bill.
However, the business did not work out in the dying minutes and by then he had already bought the drinks and taken them with his friends.
When the Hotel management realized that Oshin had no money to pay to offset the bill, he was handed over to be the Police at Oko-Oba Division.
During interrogation, the Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, asked the Court for a short adjournment date for hearing to enable the Police to prove he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Joseph, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in custody pending when he will perfect the bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 25th February, 2022, for mention.
