Man, 25, Arrested For Abducting & R*ping Girl,12, Inside Bush

It was double tragedy for a 12-year old girl, who visited her grand parents in Lagos State, as she was abducted and raped inside the bush while her grand father’s head got smashed while attempting to rescue her from the captor.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Erewa area of Ojo, Lagos, where her grandparents reside. 

The 25-year old man behind the dastardly act, Haruna Jimoh, has been arrested for the abduction and defilement. 

The girl fell into the trap of the suspect when she was sent to buy mosquito coils with the younger brother in the evening at about 8pm at a nearby store in the area.
While she was returning home, the suspect, Jimoh, reportedly came out from a dark spot, abducted her, forcefully removed her pants and penetrated her in the nearby bush. 

The girl’s younger brother went home and reported to the grandparents what happened and they rushed to the scene and met Jimoh still in the act. The girl’s grandfather then attempted to separate her from the captor and he angrily removed his dick from the girl’s private part, broke a bottle and smashed the grandfather’s head, who then raised an alarm as he was said to have bled profusely.

The alarm attracted the attention of the neighbours, who held the suspect, Jimoh, as he attempted to escape and handed him over to the Police at Ojo Division for interrogation over his conduct.

The matter was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command. After thorough interrogation, the operatives at the Gender Section found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Victor Eruada, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the girl involved is still a minor.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice while the matter was adjourned to 4th March, 2022, for report of the DPP to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
