Man, 25, Arrested For Engaging Girl, 14, In S*x Romp

 A 25-year old man, Timikuro Dankolo, Lagos State has been arrested in  for allegedly luring  and engaging a 14-year old girl in sex and stole N10,000 from her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Boundary area of Ajegunle, Lagos, where they reside. 

The Police alleged the suspect to have lured the girl to his apartment and engaged her in sex. 
Having satisfied herself, he stole her money before he allowed her to go. She went home and narrated what happened  to her parents, who then reported the matter to the Police in the area and he was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for interrogation. 

During interrogation, he admitted to have slept with her with her consent but the girl denied it and claimed that he lured her into the act. 

The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for stealing and defilement, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty. 

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor,  Supol Bisi Ogunleye, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the victim is still a minor. 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E.  Kubeinje, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP ‘s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 5th April, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction
