When a business owner, Mrs. Florence Babatunde, engaged the services of a 25-year old Kayode Emmanuel as Personal Assistant, she did not know that she had employed someone who would expose her on social media with false information.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between July and August 2021 at Shonubi Street, Ago, Okota area of Lagos, where she resides and has an office.
The victim, Madam Florence Babatunde, reportedly engaged Emmanuel for some assistance in her business, which was not disclosed.
However, having known some of her secrets, he started posting offensive, false words and photographs on social media, thereby causing his madam embarrassment over the act.
The matter was reported to the Police and he was arrested. After interrogation and having been found culpable, he was charged before the Ejigbo Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Simeon Njue, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence since he pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, A.S.Okubule, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till 1st November, 2021, for mention while the defendant was ordered to be remanded in correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
