Man, 25, Docked For Inserting Finger Into Girl, 6 Private

A 25-year old man, Prince Tony Agu, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he was allegedly caught sexually molesting his neighbour’s 6-year old girl.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Unity Road in Ikeja, Lagos, where they reside.

Their neighbours wondered what the attraction was for Agu to have tried such act because of the age of the victim.

He was said to have allegedly lured the victim into his apartment, removed her pant and inserted his finger into her private part severally. He later allowed her to go but warned her not to tell her parents what happened.
It was gathered that victim was shocked over what happened and thereafter informed her parents.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikeja Division; Agu was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Agu denied engaging in the act. The victim was then brought before him, she demonstrated how he did and he was speechless.
The police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault.
The court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, told the court that the matter should be referred to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka, ordered Agu to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.
The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 8th April, 2019, for the report of the DPP to be ready.
However, the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends his trial.
P.M.EXPRESS learnt that if Agu is tried and found guilty, he will spend several years in prison.
