Man, 25, In Trouble Over 2 Days S*x With Girl, 6

A 6-year old girl has allegedly been defiled in Lagos State after she was forcefully engaged in sex by their neighbour, Abuchi Mgbada, for two days. 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Adeola Street, Barber Roundabout, Ayobo area of Lagos, where they reside. 

The 25-year old suspect, Abuchi Mgbada, has been arrested by the Police over the alleged defilement. 

The Police alleged the suspect to have lured the little girl on 17th and 25th October, 2021, and engaged her in sex but warned her not to tell anybody about what happened.

However, after the dastardly act, the girl was bleeding from her private part and her parents asked to know who tempered with her private part and she mentioned that it was the suspect, Mgbada. 

The matter was reported to the Police at Ayobo Division and he was then arrested. Later, he was transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for further investigation on the alleged offence.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because the victim is still a minor.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.

The matter was adjourned till 10th January, 2022, for report of the DPP to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
