Man, 26, Arraigned For Lodging Under Aged Girl In Hotel For Sex

A 26-year old man, Ahmed Apesin, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring an under aged girl from her parents house and lodging her in a hotel for sex.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Apesin, has been arrested and charged for abduction of the victim under the Criminal Law of the State.
The incident happened on 15th May, 2025, at KYC Hotel located at Sefun area of Ayobo, Lagos.
According to the Police, the suspect lured the victim and lodged her in the hotel while her parents were searching for her as a missing person and had reported to the Police at Ayobo Division.
While the parents were searching for the victim, the suspect was said to have joined the search unknown to them that he was the person that lodged her in the hotel.
However, the information leaked and the victim was later rescued. She then revealed that it was the suspect that lodged her in the hotel and she was unable to go back home.
The matter was reported to the Police. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for abduction, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Ahmed Apesin ‘m’ on the 28th day of May, 2025 at about 1900hrs at Sefun, Ayobo, Lagos State in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did abduct one Aishat, ‘f’ and kept her in one KYC Hotel Ayobo, Lagos, without the tonsent of her parents and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 141(2) of criminal laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
However,  he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
