A 30-year old man, Shola Olaide, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly sneaking into a woman’s compound to seduce and beg her for sex but it backfired.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Olaide, was arrested and charged for criminal intent and attempt to steal and convicted before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court in Lagos State.

He was found guilty for his conduct and sentenced to community service by the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and attempt to steal under the Criminal Law of the State.

Olaide had on 23rd January, 2026, at about 0530hrs at Church Street, Ikotun-Lagos, entered one Fatima Ishola ‘f compound without her consent and was alleged to have attempted to steal.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ikotun Division. He was then arrested and detained at the station for interrogation to ascertain his intention for going to the complainant’s compound without her consent.

He reportedly told the Police that he did not enter the compound to steal rather went there to seduce and beg her sex but it did not work out as he had planned.

The Police found him culpable over his conduct and charged him before the Court for the alleged offence, which he pleaded guilty.

The charges read:

COUNT I: That you, Shola Olaide ‘m’, on the 23/01/2026 at about 0530hrs at No, Church Street, Ikotun-Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace by entering into the compound of one Fatima Ishola ‘f’ without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.”

Having pleaded guilty, the prosecutor Inspector Simeon Njue, then presented the facts of the matter and asked the Court to sentence him accordingly to serve as deterrent to others who might want to commit such in future.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. F.R Ogunkoyede, found him guilty and sentenced to three hours community service.
