A 31-year old man, Naisu Oriyomi, has landed in big trouble in Lagos State after he allegedly lured and engaged a 7-year old girl into sex and he was later caught in the act.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Oriyomi, has been arrested over the dastardly conduct.
The incident happened at Oludele in Ikola Odunsi area of Lagos State, where they reside.
According to Police sources, the suspect, allegedly lured the victim into his apartment, forcefully removed her pants, had carnal knowledge of her by penetration and in process injured her.
However, trouble started for Oriyomi after the little girl went home with the injury and informed her parents about what happened. The matter was reported to the Police in the area and Oriyomi was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Command for investigation.
The little girl was taken to the hospital, where the doctor who conducted tests on her, confirmed that her private part was tempered through penetration.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found Oriyomi culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement.
The Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the victim is still a minor.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 1st November, 2022, for report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
