A 33-year old man, Desmond Emenike, who reportedly lured a 17-year old girl and engaged her in two days sex romp without the consent of her parents has landed in big trouble over the act.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the parents of the girl reported to the Police and Emenike was arrested.
The incident happened at Ayobo area of Ipaja but the girl was taken to Ijaiye Street, Mafoluku area of Oshodi, where they embarked on the romp for days.
Though, the girl was said not to have complained of being abducted and raped but the parents insisted that it was a case of abduction and rape because the girl is still a minor.
Hence, Emenike was arrested and later transfered to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation and was found culpable.
He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Ezekiel Ayorinde, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B. O. Osunsanmi, ordered the defendant to be remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 9th August, 2021, for the report of DPP to be ready in order to determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
