Man, 35, Arrested Over Sex With Daughter, 14

The Police at Ikotun Division, Lagos, have arrested a 35-year old man, Kingsley Mfontom, who engaged his 14-year old daughter in sex romp after using his finger to wet her private part for easy penetration.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Olabode Street off Governor’s Road in Ikotun area of Lagos, where they reside.

It was gathered that Mfontom reportedly invited his daughter into their house, removed her pant and pretended as if he was checking something inside. He was said to have used his finger to open and wet her private part and then forcefully penetrated her.

However, the dastardly act was exposed after the mother of the victim suspected the body changes of her daughter, checked her private part and discovered that she was violated. She then asked her daughter who did it and she mentioned her father, Mfontom, as the molester.
The matter was reported to the Police and he was arrested. After interrogation, he was charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka, ordered him remanded in prison custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 21st October, 2019, for the report of the DPP to be ready. The matter will be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable and recommends that he should be tried for defilement.
