The ongoing feud at Aso Rock Hotel and Suites between Mrs. Blessing Arowele and her 35-year old worker, Segun Oludiran, took another dimension as Oludiran was arrested and charged before a Court in Lagos State for allegedly stealing N7.2m.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the Aso Rock Hotel, located at Abaranje Road, Ikotun area of Lagos.
Mrs. Blessing Arowele went to the Police at Ikotun Division and reported that Oludiran stole assorted drinks worth the said amount belonging to her. Thus, the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Adagba Johnson, ordered Oludiran’s arrest. And he detained at the station for interrogation over the alleged missing drinks, which she claimed he stole between 2022 and 2023.
During interrogation, Oludiran told the Police that no drink was missing in the hotel and Mrs. Blessing should tell the Police the cause of their disagreement before she alleged that he stole the drinks, which she did not respond to.
However, the Police found Oludiran culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged conspiracy and stealing.
The Police alleged that Oludiran stole the drinks included tow cartons of Hennessy, 50 cartons of Origin drinks, Campari drinks, Red Label and among other choice drinks worth the said amount of money belonging Mrs. Blessing.
However, he pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Benedict Aigbokhan, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K.A.Ariyo, granted him bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment.
The matter was adjourned till 13th October, 2023, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
