A 38-year old man, Oluwapamilerinayo Eniola, has landed in trouble after he allegedly lured a 24-year old lady into sex in Lagos State.
P.MEXPRESS reports that the Lady in question went to the Police and reported that she was raped.
The incident happened at Alafia Estate, Oke-Ira, Ogba area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to Police sources, the lady was lured by Eniola into his apartment and she warned him not to penetrate her. But when Eniola, who was said to have lost emotional control, penetrated her, she felt bad and reported the matter to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba, Lagos.
During interrogation, Eniola admitted that he actually penetrated her despite the fact she asked him not to do so because he had seen her nakedness and lost control.
The Police found culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for statutory rape, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
However, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Victor Eruada, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, ordered his remand in Correctional Centre pending when the DPP’s advice will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 9th September, 2021, for report of DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
